Applying TOGAF to packaged apps like SAP ERP/IBP/APO/BW or Oracle JDE/JDA

I remember reading this great article comparing TOGAF 8.1 and SAP EAF by Steve Kirby. It still holds true with TOGAF 9.x and Cloud/On Prem factors to consider. Applying TOGAF to packaged apps like SAP ERP/APO/BW or Oracle JDE/JDA or Power BI/Qlikview needs a special perspective.

SAP EAF used the same or similar standards like TOGA ADM and Resource Base but extended it with templates. This was enabled using the Solution Manager tool and made possible interactive ADM. It needed a progressive and mature client IT team to make good use of such sophisticated techniques for the long term.
